Licensure Renewal Process and TSPC FAQ’s
Continued employment for licensed employees with the Siuslaw School District is contingent upon you holding and maintaining an active Oregon teaching license. It is your responsibility to obtain and maintain your license. Please carefully review any information that you receive from TSPC (Teacher Standards and Practices Commission) or your State Licensing Board. It is your responsibility to comply with and meet any TSPC/State Board requirements. The Siuslaw School District may provide you with reminders, but those reminders do not relieve you of your responsibility for maintaining your own license. If your license lapses or is revoked during your employment with the Siuslaw School District, you could face disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. If you have questions about your license or how to renew, please contact TSPC or your State Licensing Board.
TSPC Application
You will need to submit your renewal application and renewal fees with TSPC. Please review the TSPC Website for instructions on submitting your eLicensing Renewal Application and for paying the renewal fees. The renewal application and renewal fees are submitted directly to TSPC; if you have any questions about either of these, you will need to contact TSPC directly. You will also need to complete the PDU verification process described below. Please send a records of your PDUs to Human Resources so that they may complete the Peer Form PRIOR as you are completing your application.
