Our Financial Aid Night for seniors and their parents/guardians is Wednesday, October 18 at Siuslaw High School.  We ask those attending to select one of the sessions either 5 to 6 p.m. or 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and then also attend the Parent Information Meeting from 6 to 6:30 p.m.  The sessions are repeated sessions and the Parent Information Meeting includes specific information to managing senior year. ​Project Grad Movie Night has moved from the stadium tot he Siuslaw High School gym.   The doors open at 7 and the movie starts at 7:30 p.m.
Calling all high school artists!  Starting in October we will be meeting on Mondays after school from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the art room.   We will be creating new art, working to finish projects, and learning about running an art business. We will have guest artists and other speakers talking to us about how they run and operate their art businesses and learn tricks to improve our creations. ​The "Color the Coast for Autism" Annual Autism Walk is Saturday, September 30 at Miller Park in Florence, Oregon. The fun starts at 10 a.m. and the walk begins at 11 a.m.  The walk is a fully accessible 1/2-mile loop, plus there will be community resource exhibitors, a bounce house, characters in costume, crafts, and more! The Siuslaw High School, Class of 2024, Senior Sunrise is Tuesday, September 5 at 6 a.m. at Hans Peterson Field. This event is only for Siuslaw High School seniors.
Siuslaw High School registration is next Tuesday through Thursday, August 22 through August 24, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Student schedules are now live in StudentVUE and ParentVue. Though these schedules are likely to change, this is your opportunity to review your schedule ahead of registration next week.  We ask all students who are available to attend registration to come next week so we can accomplish the following important things:  1) Double check student enrollment information. Families can get a head start by enrolling online at tinyurl.com/SSDRegistration.   2) Review and request changes to your schedule.  3) Assign a locker for the school year.  4) Issue a Chromebook.  5) Issue a parking pass for personal vehicles that will be parked at school. This is new this year.

Fall sport programs include cheerleading, cross country, football, soccer (boys and girls), and volleyball. FamilyID is a secure registration platform that provides you with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our programs, and helps us to be more administratively efficient and environmentally responsible. When you register through FamilyID, the system keeps track of your information in your FamilyID profile. You enter your information only once for each family member for multiple uses and multiple programs.
The 1A Siuslaw Trap Team had 2 squads with 5 shooters in  each squad totaling 10 shooters at the state competition in Hillsboro, Oregon, in the 1A and 2A division.  Each squad shoots 2 times. They shoot 50 rounds each time they are up to shoot totaling 100 rounds shot for a total score. If you have 5 shooters qualify in same level that equals a team. We had 5 shooters qualify in Novice level and our team won 2nd place! Congratulations! Varsity members Wade Richmond & Dylan Wheeler are headed to Nationals in Mason Michigan to compete July 8th & 9th.
​Siuslaw student Dayne Muller was selected to participate in the July 2023 USA Wrestling Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota. He has a fundraising goal of $1,200.
