Parents, Students and Staff: A lot of the Chromebooks are not getting logged off which is causing the devices to get behind in the software updates. This is fixed with the latest software update and from now on the devices will get a message to restart the Chromebook automatically. For now, please log off of your Chromebook, Shutdown the Chromebook and then power it back on. This will apply the update that has already been downloaded to the device. Siuslaw Food Services will be on regular schedule thru Tuesday 11/24 this short holiday week. Florence Food Share dinners will be delivered Tuesday this week (not Thursday). Regular schedule resumes Monday 11/30. Have a Safe and Happy Thanksgiving Holiday!

Just a quick note – Free Covid-19 testing on Saturday the 14th at Florence Food Share. Student home internet account assistance is still available. All details and links on the School News feed of the website.

Student logins to Google Classroom will change by Monday 11/16. Student username format will now be: first.last@siuslawschools.org instead of first.last@siuslaw.k12.or.us. The reason for the change is to add Gmail functionality to the student's accounts. Gmail capability will improve communication between the students and SMS Staff. Students will be unable to email outside of the school district organization and only communicate with their teachers. This change will take effect by the end of the day on Friday. Teachers have been informing students throughout the week, but we encourage you to have your child login before Monday morning.
