April marks National School Library Month, which is a time when we celebrate the essential role that school libraries and our district teacher librarian and our library aides play in the educational landscape of our students at Siuslaw School District. Our libraries are more than just repositories of books; they are vibrant centers of learning, creativity, and discovery!
This month we recognize the invaluable contributions of our library staff members: SES Library Aide Julia Craig, SMS Library Ade Val Graybill, SHS Library Aide Vanessa Flosi, and K-12 District Teacher Librarian Jennifer McKenzie. We invite our students to visit their school library, explore a new book, and take a moment to thank our library staff for their pivotal role in their educational journey.
They provide personalized learning environments and offer equitable access to resources to ensure a well-rounded education for every learner.
They are the beating heart of these spaces, guiding students in developing a passion for reading, honing their research skills, and navigating the vast world of digital information.
They empower students to become critical thinkers, skilled researchers, and lifelong learners.
Their dedication and commitment are greatly appreciated and invaluable to us!
