Yesterday, ODE released an update to the Covid-19 health and safety protocols school districts in Oregon are expected to follow after the mask mandate ends on March 12.
Governor Brown announced that the local control date for masking in public schools is advancing once again; today’s announcement moves up the local control to March 12, 2022.

Siuslaw School District has three Budget Committee positions open for the school board budget process.  Positions 1, 5 and 7 are open for appointment by the school board. Apply by February 8, 2022 by 4:00PM. The Budget Committee includes the Board of Directors and seven volunteer citizens who are appointed to serve 3-year terms. Committee members must be registered voters living within the boundaries of the Siuslaw School District, and cannot be employees, officers, or agents of the district. The school board will consider applications at the February 9, 2022, school board meeting. The Oregon Health Authority has set final end dates for indoor mask mandates in Oregon - March 31, 2022.   Until then, all current mask and mitigation protocols will remain in place as the changes from the state are incorporated into new protocols after Spring Break.
