The district has launched community outreach surveys for the school board's strategic planning initiative and the ODE Integrated Guidance process. School board strategic planning will be an ongoing process, with these surveys being an intermediate part of the process. From the data collected here, focus groups will be formed to examine district and building level data to help inform both goals and strategies for future operations. This will overlap into next school year. ODE's Integrated Guidance process is an alignment of six initiatives that have common elements, in an attempt to decrease redundancy in state reporting requirements by districts. This first draft aligns: High School Success, Student Investment Account, Continuous Improvement Planning, Career & Technical Education, Every Day Matters (student attendance), and Early Indicator Intervention Systems. Surveys are split to address four focal groups: parents & guardians, community members, students, and teachers & staff. Surveys will be open through the end of the day, Monday, March 20, and the Lane ESD staff will run a simple tally on the results so district staff can prepare initial reports for the board in April and prepare for the community forum groups. All of the individual survey links are on the district website's survey page https://www.siuslaw.k12.or.us/page/survey-page
